Meet the Owners of Dog Party USA

Chadwick “Chaddie” Kumpe Platt, Co-Founder & Owner – Chaddie envisioned the dream of Dog Party USA long before it became a reality. She has always loved dogs, from a very young age. When asked what she wanted to do when she grew up, she always wanted to have a dog farm with two of every kind of dog. Since this was not a very realistic goal, she refined it over the years and settled on what eventually became Dog Party USA. She and her mother, Priscilla Kumpe started Dog Party USA in 2005, planning to create a place where dogs could have fun during daycare and boarding, instead of the traditional model of keeping dogs in cages and only letting them out for potty breaks.

Chaddie has a background in the corporate world as well as the non-profit world, working for World Wildlife Fund and StaffMark in the corporate offices. Before starting Dog Party USA, she was the Membership Director for KUAF, the local NPR affiliate, as well as co-host of “Film Score Friday” with PJ Robowski. She is also well known for being the lead singer for a disco band called Ultra Suede, www.ultrasuedepartyband.com. This band became a mainstay in the entertainment arena in Arkansas, celebrating 25 years in 2019! She met her husband, Charlie Platt, when he became the drummer for the band in 1998.

Ron Kumpe, Owner – Ron is Chaddie’s older brother and he joined the business early on, using his skills in the construction and fencing industry to become an asset in the management and upkeep of the facility, eventually becoming a partner. His knowledge of many different aspects of construction and maintenance is invaluable to the integrity of our “doggie hotel.”

Priscilla Kumpe, Co-Founder – Priscilla is the mother of Chaddie, Ron and Nick. After 38 years as a Gifted & Talented teacher, she teamed up with Chaddie to make the dream of Dog Party USA a reality. Her skills as a teacher and administrator have been crucial to staff training and facility operations. Her creative flair has also led to our many fun Halloween parties, staff photos and Mardi Gras floats. She also enjoys the opportunity to work with her family that adores her and worships the ground she walks on!

My favorite thing about working at dog party is being around all the dogs, they absolutely are my passion. My hobbies are playing music, brewing beer, playing with pups and eating good food!

Hi my name is Alex and I’ve been with Dog Party since the summer of 2017. I grew up with 2 dogs and had no idea what to do at first. I then got Lucy (my pit) and started to learn more about dogs and dog training. My Beagle Isabella needed some training so I started working with her learning more and more about dogs and now I’m the trainer at Dog Party. My hobbies are soccer and dog training. I also like to make/edit videos and eat food of all kinds.

Hi, my name is Virginia and I've been at Dog Party since the fall of 2022. Although I grew up here in NWA, I spent a few years in Colorado on the management team of another daycare and boarding factility. I have a cat named Euripides (Euri). I love working at Dog Party so I can be around dogs, while letting Euri be an only pet. My hobbies include reading and playing pool.

Hi my name is Jen and I’ve been with Dog Party since the summer of 2022. At home I have cat named Momiji (Mo). My favorite thing about working at Dog Party is getting to hang out with dogs since Mo is not okay with other animals. My hobbies are video games and comic books. I also like to watch professional wrestling and go out to eat.

Hi I'm Garrick and I joined dog party the summer of 2022. I have two dogs of my own, Lovey and Colin. I grew up with 8 dogs so working here has been right up my alley. When I'm not at home or Dog Party I can be found at the University of Arkansas studying for my Masters in Accounting. On the off chance I have free time I enjoy hiking, video games, and watching tv.

Hi my name is Stone and I’ve been with Dog Party since the winter of 2022. I have one black cat names Cosmo. My favorite part about working at Dog Party is of course just being with the dogs. My hobbies are playing shows with my bands and being outdoors.

Hi my name is Jay and I’ve been with Dog Party since the fall of 2021. I’ve been working in the pet care industry for 13 years now and I absolutely love it and can’t imagine doing anything else. The love you get from the dogs and their parents is priceless, plus at Dog Party it’s not just a job, it’s family! I am certified pet care technician certified by both pet care service associations 2010 and pet tech 2017. My hobbies are swimming, playing drums in my band, and hanging out with friends.

Hi my name is Lecie and I’ve been with Dog Party since the Summer of 2021. I have about 20 rescue dogs at home and 1 cat. I couldn’t live without them. They give me somebody to talk to. I like working at Dog Party because of the people. They would do anything for you! Also I love working with dogs rather than people. My hobbies are gardening, sewing and going to car races. I also like to be around my family and animals.

    Hi my name is Karissa and I have been with Dog Party since Spring of 2014. My husband Brennan (who also works here) and I have 5 dogs named Wally, Emma, Sir Henry Stout, Millie, and Mongo. We also have two cats named Samhain and Salem, as well as an assortment of reptiles and fish. Some of my hobbies include gardening, reading, learning new things, and singing. My favorite thing about working here, is that, not only have I gained a career that I am passionate about and love deeply, but I have gained a family as well.

Hi I’m Juliet & I’ve been with Dog Party since 2017. I have two dogs of my own who I love so much, Paris & Sage. In my free time I’m spending time with my husband & our daughter. I love all things spooky! I have my own paranormal team where we travel around the US to do investigations. My favorite part about it is learning the history of the buildings & people of each location.

Tristan has been a staple at Dog Party nights and weekends and when school was out from middle school on. Tristan has been with Dog Party since Summer of 2012. He has recently taken up a Shift Manager position, and is constantly researching new ways to improve the business. In his free time he enjoys different board games and activities with his wife, Renee, and playing with his 3 dogs, Frosty, Syrus, and Nymbus. Most recently, he received his PACCC certification as a Pet Care Provider.

I’ve worked here since the Spring of 2017, I have always enjoyed working with animals, particularly dogs as it is a fun and rewarding experience. It’s always fun to see a new face come by as I enjoy meeting new people and their pets. I do my best to maintain a calm attitude to try and create a relaxing environment for people and dogs alike.

Hi my name is Kylee and I’ve been with dog party since the spring of 2013. My favorite thing about working at dog party is the lasting bond I make with the dogs and knowledge of the different dog breeds. Not only do I enjoy coming to Dog Party, but so does my dog, Hollyhock who loves to come and play with her friends. My hobbies include the arts and being in nature. I like to paint dog portraits & take long hikes with my dogs.

Derek has been working at Dog Party USA since the spring of 2018. Derek says that the best part of his job is watching happy families be reunited after long boarding stays. In his free time Derek works on programming as a hobby and plays Dungeons and Dragons. Derek's long term goal is to be able to combine his passion for animals with his love of software development.

Hello, my name is Renee! While I’ve only been working at dog party since may of 2024, I actually joined the dog party family in 2016 when I met my husband, Tristan! We have one four year old son at home, along with 4 dogs and 4 cats! In my spare time I enjoy watching television shows, gardening, and going on adventures with my family. My favorite thing about dog party is how much everyone here loves all of the dogs that come through the door, I’ve never worked somewhere where every person genuinely loved what they do. We are all passionate about every one of our furry friends, and I absolutely love getting to be a part of of such a positive, fun family.

My favorite part of working at Dog Party is seeing all the different dogs and getting to see how happy they are when they see their family.
